CHAPTER 3
FAITH
Visualization of and Belief in Attainment of Desire
The Second Step towards Riches
Well I am back to take another 'cut or swing' at this simple yet often misunderstood Topic (at least in my mind). As Ken has said I am attempting to find & access the 'sweet spot' here so I can unleash this powerful principle of FAITH in my life.
Faith is so simple & elementary & yet so profound. With a small amount of it the Bible says we can move mountains yet without this key ingredient our lives ,the book of James tells us are tossed about like on a storm tossed sea & we attain NOTHING. I believe without Faith our lives are lacking a key element in finding & living in the happiness & abundance that God intended.
Years ago when I was in Bible School we had a class titled 'FAITH' where for a semester we looked at all the major passages & lessons on Faith in the Bible. My classmates & I became so enthralled & obsessed with this study that we would go around reciting a verse one of our classmates made up.."Faith, Faith, Just a Little bit of Faith, you don't need a whole lot, just step out & use what ya got!"
As amusing as that little saying is, I think it reveals a sad fact, & that is that though each of us may have Faith(In Fact the Bible says elsewhere, each of us have been given a 'measure of Faith') so few Use or exercise what they have been given.
I feel this is one of the main themes of 'Think & Grow Rich",,,Learning how to exercise & use Faith, in order to attain what we desire.
First, in the introduction we find that our Thoughts are Things, we become conscious & aware of the power we possess when we focus our thoughts. Next is step one where we choose a 'Desire' with our 'Thoughts' that resonates within our heart. In this chapter we are learning how to begin to manifest or bring that desire to life by applying 'FAITH' to our desire.
Another scripture says that those who are Just Live by Faith, & those who walk in Faith must BELIEVE (Have Faith) That He(God, The Infinite Creator) IS,,,& that HE (God) is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him'
I look at The principles we are Learning in Think & Grow Rich as well as learning to practice these principles & insights in this Mental Cleanse community as Growing & exercising our Faith & DILIGENTLY pursuing what God has for our lives by seeking to create the lives & dreams each of us desire.
Again another passage says we walk by FAITH & not sight. So many folks now a days won't believe till they SEE something & yet those of this community are EXERCISING & Learning Faith By 'Believing To See'. We may not yet possess the physical life & fulfillment of our desires but day by day, week by week, we are walking towards & into those desires as we come to these calls, participate on the call, write lessons, & reach out for help. To continue on in this process, is Walking in Faith & will eventually lead to the Prize we seek.
In Closing, an old Pastor friend of mine use to quote Romans 10:17 a lot to illustrate what was needed to begin to BUILD & Exercise ones Faith..."Faith Cometh by HEARING, & HEARING the Words of God...." I relate that to the Positive emotions--WORDS (Autosuggestion) of-- Faith --Hope--Love---Romance---Sex---Abundance--Desire--Enthusiasm,,
However then my Pastor friend would ADD these words ..."AND Faith LEAVETH by HEARING & HEARING the Words of Men... And conversely I relate that to the Negative Emotions ---Words of ,again AUTOSUGGESTION----Lack, Revenge,Fear, Jealousy, Greed, Superstition,Anger,Hatred.
There is so much to Be said For exercising & growing ones Faith with words autosuggestion---I believe I found in Pt.I of this Lesson that in this chapter autosuggestion was mentioned 13-14 times, you can not separate the two ...If we are Living In & By Faith This can not help but be reflected in THE WORDS You (I) say...If you find a lot of negative & crappy words flowing out of your mouth that is an indicator that you (me) have a ways to Go to walk a life of Faith & Abundance.
So I see I must watch what I say & begin to Build & exercise my FAITH through Positive Word~~AUTOSUGGESTION,,,which we will explore more next week.
